The Stuntman Series

You can read them in any order, but starting with Number 1 is
always best.

1. The Stuntman

2. No Regrets

3. L.A. Story

1. Where should a new
reader start with Evan Graver’s thrillers?

Dark Water for maritime adventure/thriller; Rising Phoenix for espionage;
The Stuntman for Hollywood/action/crime.

2. Are the Ryan
Weller and John Phoenix series connected?

John Phoenix appears in Dark Angel. He is an active
CIA case officer and must work with Ryan to disrupt the sale of submarine
technology to an Iranian-front company.

Characters from Ryan’s universe turn up throughout the
Phoenix books, especially Scott Gregory, a throwaway character I created for Dark
Hunt
, who refuses to leave. He’s been in nearly every book since his first
appearance.

3. Do you need to read
the Ryan Weller books before the John Phoenix books?

Absolutely not. You can
dig right into John Phoenix without reading Ryan Weller. But you might want to
grab Dark Angel just to see how the two men interact.

4. How can I hear
about new Evan Graver books?

Sign up for The Paradise
Report. Learn about book deals, new releases, and read fiction written exclusively
for newsletter subscribers, including deleted book excerpts, Ryan Weller Shorts,
and the History of Dark Water Research through the Olsen Family Saga.

5. How and why did you
start writing?

I’ve been writing since I
was a kid. I’ve enjoyed reading and inventing my own thrillers. I usually kept
a notebook around to jot down thoughts or stories.

But my writing career
started as a checkmark on my bucket list—publish a book. I meant to write a
trilogy but ended up writing 30+ books.

6. Why a
non-traditional protagonist in Luke Wesson?

I have a Navy EOD tech turned commercial diver and a CIA
case officer in my other two series. When I started writing the Luke Wesson
books, I wanted someone with a particular skill set who hadn’t been in the
military or intelligence world. I knew Luke would live on motorcycles. They’re
present in every book. Who better than a stuntman to be kind of a jack of all
trades? Plus, I wanted to be a stuntman when I was a kid.

7. Describe your
writing process.

I’m a pantser. Straight
out of the chute. When something needs to be researched, I’ll do it right there in
the middle of writing the manuscript. I spend a lot of time on Google Maps. Sometimes
I do more research during the day than writing, but that’s part of being a
pantser. I’ve tried to outline, but the characters tell me where they want to go
and what to do. They have minds of their own.
