I’ll start with Dark Fraud. It launched on July 17 with 96 preorders, the most of any launch yet! BIG thanks to everyone who purchased early and jumped on giving a review even if it was that joker who gave me a one star. As Uncle Joe would say, “Come on, man!”
Dark Drone is nearing completion and baring any laziness on my part, I should have it wrapped up by the end of July. It will go to the editor, (okay, languish on the hard drive until he’s ready for it). I plan to launch it in December.
In between now and then, I’ll be outlining the twelfth Ryan Weller Thriller. I have a couple of side project that I’m working on and my editor is reediting Book 3, Dark Horse, to bring it up to par and get it ready for audio! Yes, you read that right. AUDIO!! SO I’ve nailed down Jay Snyder, one of my favorite narrators who does Mark Greany’s Gray Man Series. He’ll start work in September on Book 1, then hopefully we will get out one per month from then until we’re caught up!
Side Projects: 1. Liberty Brigade. I have the cover and manuscript done. Just need to get it edited and out to all you all. Its a stand alone political thriller.
2. Stuntman. This one I’m working with Ryan Steck, a different editor to get into the hands of agents and traditionally published. Hopefully we’ll pick up a multibook deal and I have part of book 2 of that series started.
3. I’ve been toying with a spinoff character from Dark Prey. Kyle Fowler is a detective for the New Haven Sheriff’s Office. I’m thinking he has some dark tales to tell. I have part of book 1 fleshed out.
4. Another stand alone is in the works. Its a post-apocalyptic thriller (not my usual genre but I had a spark of brilliance for a story line and need to run with it)
I don’t know if I’m on track for 5 books like I had planned but 4 will definitely be published this year. Its been a busy and productive time, but I need to squeeze in some scuba diving so I’m gonna take a few more days off and enjoy the warm sun and flat seas.
