I wanted to give you guys a look at what I use as resources when I write. I spend an inordinate amount of time on Google Maps and wish they had street view in every country, but short of getting on a plane and going there myself, which I consider every time I sit down to write, I rely on photos from restaurants, businesses, bars, and whatever else people have uploaded to Google Maps to get a fairly accurate picture of the terrain, weather, atmosphere, descriptions, whatever.
Dark Paradise takes place on Martinique, Union Island, Grenada, Petit Taboc, Trinidad, St. Croix, and Margarita Island. Whew, Ryan bounces around a lot.
